Another colour I noticed pop up in Wes Anderson films (*see pink in The Grand Budapest Hotel) is yellow, or more precisely, marigold. This is one of my personal favourite colours and one that Anderson seems to love as well. Check out its presence in the costumes and interiors of tonnes of his movies. Moonrise Kingdom, above.
A favourite flick of mine, The Darjeeling Limited.
His latest feature, nominated for 9 Academy Awards, including best picture: The Grand Budapest Hotel.
The animated masterpiece, Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Another personal favourite, The Life Aquatic. This room is perfection!
I loved Hotel Chevalier and I love Natalie Portman. Photos: Google images
I’m a bit partial to a pop of marigold myself: In this house I styled for Inside Out magazine.
And in my seasonal crown series. Home & Crown Photography: Fiona Galbraith
Next is to get to India to see garland upon garland of the golden goodie!
