Today Jess tries to beat the upcoming cool weather cabin fever with a trip through her travel snap archives.
Another month passes by as the season changes and we get on with the year. Even though the earth’s temperatures are flying all over the place and the parameters of a season are bending (scary times!), here in the southern hemisphere we are plodding toward winter while all the lands north of the equator are skipping into summer. There are definitely aspects of the cooler months that I love- chunky knit jumpers, red wine on a rainy evening and air so fresh it makes your brain feel zingy- but the idea of bunkering down and hibernating while dealing with a vitamin D deficiency makes me a tad glum. I get a little stir crazy if I have to be house-bound for too long (as much as I love my home!) and since there aren’t any worldly adventures booked in for the coming months, I am bracing myself for code red cabin fever levels.
But before I cover my feet with woolly socks, say goodbye to extended hours of daylight and reclaim my butt groove in the sofa, I am going to scratch my already itching feet via a tour through some of my old travel pics. Desk chair holidays at its best, from Paris in 2008 through to San Fran in 2011 with a few stop overs on the way.
Sure. It’s just like being there. Sigh.
