This past weekend in the dappled sunshine, I got together with fellow stylist Caitlin Melling to shoot some fun still life images for Bliss Elixir. We treated the whole thing as a bit of a ‘come what may’ creative frenzy armed with fruit, florals and our iPhones and are quite happy with the results. Our contrasting sensibilities when it comes to styling – she likes to plan, take her time to create the perfect image (and often she does) whereas I’m a bit more ‘laissez-faire’ & spontaneous – brought about some pretty, cohesive imagery on the day. Caitlin’s background in botany, uniquely special touch with floral arrangements and garage FULL of flowers clearly lifted our still life game, but apparently ‘it would not have been the abstract beauty that it was without’ me. Hmmm…I’ll take it! May your peepers enjoy x
